Tim is an author and illustrator known for his long-form blog, Wait But Why. His postings accompanied by stick-figure illustrations range across disciplines including AI, outer space, and procrastination. Tim’s work has been republished in The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and TIME amongst many others, leading his blog to average over a million unique visitors a month, and over 600,000 email subscribers. Tim published his first book in 2023, What’s Our Problem?: A Self-Help Book for Societies, that examines the state of the modern world.
Tim earned his A.B. from Harvard University with a cum laude distinction and co-founded Arborbridge, online academic tutoring and standardized test prep company. His TED Talk on procrastination is the #3 most viewed TED Talk of all time.
