Adam is the CEO of Convergent Research, which incubates Focused Research Organizations (FRO), such as E11 bio and Cultivarium, that work to address pressing bottlenecks in science. Previously he was a Schmidt Futures Innovation Fellow, a consultant for the Astera Institute, and Chief Strategy Officer of the brain-computer interface company Kernel. He serves on the board of several non-profit organizations including Norn Group, PARPA, and New Science.

His work has been honored with recognition from a Technology Review 35 Innovators Under 35 Award (2018), a Fannie and John Hertz Foundation Fellowship (2010), and a Goldwater Scholarship (2008).

He helped in the founding of BioBright and was an advisor at the Open Philanthropy Project. Adam is a sweets aficionado and shares that same adoration for his cats Lyra and Neo.
