Omar has been appointed as Minister of State of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications of the United Arab Emirates since July 2020. He is responsible for the enhancement of government performance levels through breakthrough investments in AI tools and their applications. He is the managing director of the World Government Summit and a member of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation and Deputy Managing Director of the Foundation.
Omar holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the American University of Dubai, and a Diploma in Project Management and Excellence from the American University of Sharjah.
