Nadia looks into unanswered questions about the world – often hiding in plain sight. Previously, she argued that open source software is a form of public infrastructure that requires maintenance, based on the experiences of individual developers. Her work has been supported by Emergent Ventures, Ford Foundation, Harvard University, Schmidt Futures, Ethereum Foundation, Protocol Labs, Cosmos Institute, and others. She is the author of Antimemetics: Why Some Ideas Resist Spreading (Dark Forest Collective), Working in Public: The Making and Maintenance of Open Source Software (Stripe Press), and Roads and Bridges: The Unseen Labor Behind Our Digital Infrastructure (Ford Foundation). She is currently exploring the mechanics and effects of advanced meditation, which offers access to deeper, intensely altered mental states.
