Nadia looks into unanswered questions about the world – often hiding in plain sight. Between 2015 and 2019, she dedicated her efforts to understanding and enhancing the open source software ecosystem, both independently and during her time at GitHub. She wrote Roads and Bridges: The Unseen Labor Behind Our Digital Infrastructure, a publication for the Ford Foundation that highlights the critical, often overlooked maintenance required to keep open source code functioning as public infrastructure. She is currently exploring the phenomenology and pedagogy behind advanced meditation, which offers access to deeper, intensely altered mental states that are induced via concentration alone.
