Nicholas is leading a special project at The Long Now Foundation, a nonprofit organization to foster long-term thinking. His project, which remains untitled, is focused on the ‘thinking’ part of ‘long-term thinking’ and is in development. He previously served as the organization’s Director of Strategy and the Director of Development.
Nicholas's background includes systems engineering and contemporary philosophy. He holds a degree in Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.Prior to joining The Long Now Foundation, Nicholas advised corporate firms on design strategy, enterprise sales, and business development. He also toured in a few rock bands.
