Hannu is an author who combines science fiction, speculative technology and intricate storytelling to explore themes such as artificial intelligence, future societies, and the nature of consciousness. His debut novel, "The Quantum Thief,” which received critical acclaim, is set in a post-human future and blends high-tech heists, virtual realities and quantum physics. Hannu’s subsequent works include "The Fractal Prince," "The Causal Angel," “Summerland” and forthcoming “Darkome.” He is also a co-founder and the CEO of HelixNano, a biotech startup whose mission is to supercharge the immune system using mRNA and AI.

Hannu holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Oulu, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in Mathematical Physics from the University of Edinburgh. Prior to starting his PhD candidature, he completed his national service as a research scientist for the Finnish Defence Forces.
