Tom Hanks and Gary formed their film and television production company, Playtone, in 1998. Playtone’s television productions have garnered 48 Primetime Emmy Awards, 9 Golden Globe Awards, and 5 Peabody Awards. In 2011, Tom and Gary received the PGA’s Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television.


Currently Gary is producing the 9-hour limited series event Masters of the Air for Apple TV+.
