Ariel is a scientist, engineer and entrepreneur shaping the future of space exploration. She is the Founder and CEO of the Aurelia Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing space architecture and infrastructure. Previously, Ariel founded and led the MIT Space Exploration Initiative, overseeing the launch of more than 40 multidisciplinary spaceflight projects. She earned her Ph.D. from the MIT Media Lab, focusing on modular space structures for human life beyond Earth. Ariel’s work has been featured in outlets like WIRED and Scientific American, and she is recognized for blending technical innovation with creative vision. She is also an advocate for inclusive, sustainable space futures, collaborating with agencies, industry, and artists worldwide.
